What is the cancellation policy? And what fees apply?

As we all know things can change, life just sometimes gets in the way! At Zoom we factor this in to how we operate but we also need to consider our members and try to reduce inconveniences from occurring.

Our cancellation policy is built to help our members and reduce cancellations only to those instances that can't be avoided.

As a renter you may cancel a Booking in the following circumstances by notification to Zoom and the Asset Owner, and in such cases will be liable to pay the following cancellation charges:

  1. More than 72 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with no charge;
  2. Between 72 hours and 24 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with a charge of 50% of the Rental Fee (subject to a maximum of £50) plus a Cancellation Administration Charge;
  3. Less than 24 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with a charge of 100% of the Rental Fee (subject to a maximum of £100) plus a Cancellation Administration Charge.

Whereby asset owners unfortunately cancel your booking, this also will be affected in accordance with the cancellation policy. Asset owners may cancel a Booking in the following circumstances by notification to Zoom and the Renter, and in such cases will be liable to pay the following cancellation charges:

  1. More than 72 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with no charge;
  2. Between 72 hours and 24 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with a charge of £10 per day of the Rental Period (up to a maximum of £50) plus a cancellation administration fee;
  3. Less than 24 hours before the start of the Rental Period, with a charge of £20 per day of the Rental Period (up to a maximum of £100) plus a cancellation administration fee.

Did you know? You can cancel your booking by going to your dashboard and going in to your notifications? Make sure you tell the other member why as it's always nice to keep people in the loop!
